Owelcomed a visitor from Province, W.Bro. David Branch PJGW accompanied

The ritual was delivered in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Chris Hare W.M. with great support from
his team of offi cers. The Lodge will continue with it’s recruitment program on 3rd May 2019 with
another two double initiation ceremonies involving two fathers and sons. The sum of £1170 was
raised the following Saturday at this years Ladies Festival.
The money will be donated to The Playbarn Project, a charity which works towards creating sterile

Old Esthameians Lodge 7693
Worshipful Master Neil Duggan of the Old Esthameians Lodge 7693 - The
reason why we raised money for Saint Francis Hospice and Richard House
Children’s Hospice.
“I chose the latter because it was a children’s charity and chose St Francis as I have visited there several
times with my partner Georgie who used to work weekends there as a volunteer on reception.”
W.Bro. Neil also attended a Dementia Friends seminar there, and was greatly impressed with the staff and the great
work they do there.
There were two fund raising events and a Ladies’ Festival weekend, which marks the end the end of a successful year
as Worshipful Master of Old Esthameians.
We had a Lunch for Brethren, friends and family at Raphaels Restaurant and Grill in Gidea Park. That event raised £158.25 each for Saint Francis Hospice & Richard House
Children’s Hospice respectively. The second event was an evening with Andy McConnell which raised £337.50 each for the two hospices. The fi nal event, The Ladies Event
at Oxford, included a Gala Banquet on the Saturday evening, where a raffl e and auction raised the fabulous sum of £685 for each charity.
