50 years and a field pr omotion to PPJGW
North Weald Bassett Lodge No. 8403 celebrated their 50th. Anniversary
on Friday 11th. March 2022, at Harlow Masonic Centre, in the presence
of APGM W.Bro. Tony White, together with a Provincial team of Provincial
Grand Officers.
During the meeting, W.Bro. Tony White presented W.Bro. Gordon Munro
with a Certificate and other mementoes to celebrate his 50 years in
Freemasonry and to mark his service to both this Lodge and the Province,
Gordon was also promoted to PPJGW in a ‘Field’ promotion ceremony, rarely seen in Lodges. W.Bro. Tony White also presented
Bro. David Airlie with his Grand Lodge Certificate.
All those attending were treated to a very informative and interesting presentation on ‘Crime and the Craft’ by W.Bro. Mike
Neville, who has written a book on the subject, which was very well received.

W.Bro. Roy Watkinson 60 years in Freemasonry

At the Essex Quadrant Lodge (7143) meeting of the 7th April 2022 held at Hutton Masonic Hall, the Lodge was honoured
by an official visit from its APGM, W. Bro. Graham Dickerson PSGD accompanied by W.Bro Martyn Cartwright Provincial
deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies.

Also attending the Lodge meeting was the Very Worshipful Paul Reeves PGSwdB PDepPGM
During the course of the meeting, W. Bro Graham Dickerson presented a certificate & lapel badge to W.Bro. Roy
Watkinson PProvGStB to mark his 60 years in Freemasonry, having been initiated into Yarborough Centenary Lodge
6991, a London Lodge. W. Bro. Roy retired in 1994 after 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Force.
At 83 years of age, W.Bro. Roy attends Lodge of Instruction on a very regular basis & is a valued & indeed active member
of the Lodge. He is currently Junior Warden in the Lodge.

Hockley Lodge No. 6204 had its installation meeting
yesterday February 26th coupled with a celebration of
the lodge’s 75th anniversary having been consecrated
in 1946. We were honoured with a visit from the
