More than 1,000 Easter Eggs were delivered to local care
homes, hospitals, a women's refuge, and food banks in
Thurrock recently by Essex Freemasons meeting at the Cross
Keys Masonic Centre.
Thanks were due to Henry de Gray Lodge, Thurrock Lodge and St
John's Lodge for their donations and to all the brethren involved
especially Clive Cheeseman, Dave Barton, Chris Bushell and Mick
Draper.
The donations included: 100 Easter Eggs and 100 Creme Eggs to
Changing Pathways Women’s Refuge, which covered an Easter Egg
for each and every child in the various refuge centres in Thurrock with
enough left over for an Easter Egg hunt which they are now arranging.
• 150 Easter Eggs to the Children’s Wards of Basildon, Southend
and Chelmsford Hospitals to cover a gift for every child admitted
over the Easter weekend.
• 100 Easter Eggs to Little Havens Children’s Hospice, 60 Easter
Eggs and 100 Creme Eggs to Bennet Lodge care home, 60 Easter
Eggs + 100 Creme Eggs to Carolyne House care home.
• 40 Easter Eggs to Foot Steps, a Special Needs Youth charity in
Stanford le Hope. 200 Easter Eggs to be divided between all
10 local Thurrock food banks and another 20-30 that will go to
another care home, near North Stifford.

However, one of our most enthusiastic
past masters recently lost his wife to
cancer and she was helped at St Lukes
greatly, so on her passing it became
his and her wish that monies from
friends, family and Rainham brethren
should go to St Lukes and together
Graham and 2 past masters took two
cheques in person, 1st March this
year.
W.Bro Stephen Karanicholas Adams receiving platinum
certificate from W.Bro Jeff Cripps. Platinum certificate
awarded to Theydon lodge 6012 for their generous
contribution to Essex Festival 2022.
