50th Anniversary Presentation 50
For Lynne Wilson PPJGW

At the first meeting in 2022 of the Upminster Daylight Lodge (UDL)
No. 9788, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master (APGM) for Group 3,
Rob Eels presented Lynne Edgar John Wilson, a Past Provincial Junior
Grand Warden (PPJGW), with a Certificate on behalf of the Provincial
Grand Master to celebrate Lynne’s 50 years as a Freemason.
The Worshipful Master (WM), Eddie Murphy, allowed Lynne, who is
now registered as blind and is brought to meetings by members of
the Lodge, the special privilege of sitting in the Master’s Chair during
the presentation.
Lynne was a founder member of UDL when it was Consecrated in 2004
at Upminster Masonic Hall, by Colonel Sir Neil Thorne, and was WM
in 2009. He was initiated into Thamestide Lodge No. 8147 on January
4th 1972, but work commitments meant he moved on to Langdon
Hills Lodge No 8477 before helping to found UDL.

50th Anniversary Presentation

For Terry Lockhart PJGD
W.Bro. Terry Lockhart PJGD was pleased to receive a 50 year certificate
on 16th March by the APGM, W.Bro. Peter Hollingsworth at the
Daylight Lodge of Hutton No. 9806. Terry said he was honoured to
be a Founder of the Lodge in 2005 and Master in 2007. He Is also a
member of the Round Table Lodge of Essex No. 8217, currently Scribe
E of Hutton Chapter No. 4640 and Chairman of the Southchurch
Masonic Study Circle which meets at Saxon Hall.

For the last 22 years Terry has given masonic talks at Lodges and
Chapters in Essex and the Home Counties on 192 occasions. This year
is rather special too because in addition to his 50 years in Freemasonry
Terry and his wife, Eileen celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in
September.

50th Anniversary Presentation
For Graham Peirson

On Wednesday 26th January 2022 a very unique event happened at
a meeting of Rosslyn 1543 at Braintree. The Worshipful Master, W.Bro
Mike Peirson Initiated his two brothers, James and David Peirson, who
then became his Brothers.

On the same evening their father, W.Bro Graham Peirson, was
presented with his 50th Anniversary Certificate by W.Bro Tony White,
our Lodge APGM. Graham was able to witness his Brother, the Master,
Initiate his two other sons and therefore become his Brothers.

For Gerald Blagrove
The Manor of Newland Lodge No.6403 celebrated its Annual Burns Night
meeting the 27th January 2022. During the course of the meeting W.Bro
Gerry Blagrove was presented with his a 50 Year Certificate by our visiting
APGM, Worshipful Brother Peter Hollingsworth. The presentation was
both humorous and informative as it turned out that both W.Bro Peter
and W.Bro Gerry had conducted business together in times gone past.
The culmination of a very successful evening was the following Burns
Night Supper where the Haggis was duly Piped and Stabbed. During the
course of the Festive Board the Lodge’s Charity Steward, W.Bro Henry
Bass, presented W.Bro Peter with a cheque for £500.00 as a donation to
the FEST22 Celebrations.
