both made donations to Colchester General Hospital.

Lodge are currently receiving treatment there.
Caroline Bates, head of fundraising for the Colchester and Ipswich
Hospitals Charity, said: “It was a great pleasure to meet Eric from
the group and to receive this wonderful donation."
Two members of the Mersea Island Masonic Lodge have been
treated at the Mary Barron Chemotherapy and Haematology Suite

staff. "We greatly appreciate their donation which will be used to improve the environment for other patients.”
Curve Wake Park in St. Osyth also held a charity wakeboard and fashion show, launching their membership to the 2019 Club. The 2019 Club was set up by
the hospital charity, inviting businesses and community groups to try and raise £2,019 towards the Cancer Centre Campaign. The Cancer Centre Campaign,
is supported by the Clacton and Frinton Gazette, is a bid to raise £3.25million for a new facility bringing all cancer services into one place.
