Afi nally were able to hold a Convocation, on the 24th July, to celebrate the signifi cant achievement of reaching
125 years in existence. To mark the occasion the Chapter welcomed a Provincial delegation led by the Deputy Grand
Superintendent in charge, E.Comp. N. Franklin, the 3rd provincial Grand Principal, E.Comp. E. Chevin as well as 3
APGP's the Provincial DC and Provincial Scribe E.
The Companions were given a summary of the last 25 years of the Chapter since the Centenary with the membership having included
some illustrious and distinguished Companions. Eulogies in respect of two Companions who had sadly passed since the Chapter last
met were also delivered. Much of the remainder of the meeting was given over to necessary administration including admitting a
joining member, Comp. P. Lavelle, and electing the Principals and Honorary members.
E.Comp. T. Tonks presented E.Comp. N. Franklin with a cheque for £1,000 for his chosen charity. E.Comp. Franklin immediately
declared that it would go to the Festival 2022. In addition, E.Comp. Franklin was surprised and delighted to receive from E.Comp.
M. Robinson, on behalf of the Chapter, a memento of his visit which was a bejewelled crown of Zerubbabel on an inscribed plaque.
The Chapter also acknowledged their gratitude to those who had helped organise the meeting. In particular E.Comp. M. Saunders,
E.Comp. C. Common and E.Comp. N. Ashkettle whose health scare appears to be thankfully behind him.

E. Comp Andrew McLeod APGP, was warmly welcomed
by E. Comp Geoffrey Candler MEZ, during his Offi cial
Visit to the Daylight Chapter of Hutton No 9806 at their
Installation Convocation.

to serve in every progressive Offi ce since the Chapter was Candler MEZ, E.Comp Alistair Barnwell Third Principal and
