The Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests
and Order of Holy Wisdom
On 27th January, the Essex Tabernacle was honoured with a visit from the Grand
Superintendent, R.Em. Kt. Pt. Robert Anderson, who was accompanied by R.Em..
Kt.Pt. Ian Trevor Dudley Smith, Past Assistant Grand High Priest.
After watching the installation of V.Em. Kt.Pt. Ray Clare in the chair of the Tabernacle, R.Em..Kt.Pt. Ian Trevor Dudley
Smith. presented Pillar Fund collarettes to several Tabernacles to recognise their contributions. After these presentations,
R.Ill.Kt.Pt. presented a Pillar Fund collarette to Robert Anderson to recognise the immense contribution from the district
and commented that the Pillar Fund, which was set up for the Order to obtain permanent premises in York, still had a
little way to go before it reached its target.
A few days later, the Grand Superintendent visited V.E.Kt.
Pt. Martin Piercey, High Priest of the Tendring Tabernacle
to present him with a Pillar Fund Scarlet Award (only one
of two presented throughout the country).
The Donald Edwin Tovey Tabernacle held its installation meeting at the end of the
month. After V.Ill.Kt.Pt. Brian Heasman had installed his successor, V.Ill.Kt.P. Ian
Turner, the new officers invested, the business completed and the meeting closed,
a congregation of the Order of Holy Wisdom was opened by a team lead by R.E.Kt.
Pt Ray Fretten. The Order of Holy Wisdom was conferred on five candidates in the
superb and meaningful manner that we have become accustomed to.
