Saturday 3rd July at the Chelmsford City Racecourse marks a celebration of the reopening of
our Lodges after the pandemic, giving Freemasonry across Essex an opportunity to honour the Festival
memory of our late Provincial Grand Master, RW.Bro. Rodney Lister Bass OBE.

A CELEBRATION OF FREEMASONRY & MEMBERSHIP ATTRACTION EVENT
After almost 12 months of restrictions our ‘Festival of Racing’ meets several key objectives:
• Meet and Greet, Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge and members of the Provincial Executive.
• Opportunity to get together as Freemasons in a large group for the first time in over a year.
• Members of the public will also be able to attend, we will be able to showcase Freemasonry and the benefits
it offers to the wider community
• To honour the memory of Rodney Lister Bass OBE. One of the major races, sponsored by the Province, will
carry his name. His wife Margaret and other members of the Bass family are expected to attend.
• The event will raise funds for the Festival 2022 as well as ‘Friends of Stisted Hall’. Part of the ticket money will
be donated to these charities.

To get the very best from the day please consider booking as a Lodge or Chapter group, especially attractive for the VIP
dining seated together.
Arrange a coach or mini bus from your centre so that you can fully enjoy the hospitality on offer.
